Cervical-Facial Lifting

Specialties > Face and Neck

The lifting is a procedure that allows repositioning the tissues of the face after a sagging due to the effects of age, muscle tension, sun exposure, etc... Performed on both women and men, the lifting is carried out from the age of forty-five, when the signs of aging appear.

Cervical-facial, temporal lifting, frontal lifting associated with lipostructure or peeling… To achieve the best result, your surgeon will use different techniques, depending on the quality of your skin, the extent of sagging, and the amount of skin and fat to be removed. Thus, the lifting can be partial or more significant, and it may sometimes involve a procedure on the muscles, fat, eyelids, or forehead.

Pre-operative examinations aimed at highlighting any contraindications are systematically performed. The intervention lasts two to three hours and is carried out under general anesthesia or under local anesthesia combined with the administration of sedatives depending on the extent of the procedures to be performed. It requires a stay in the clinic of 24 to 48 hours.

Post-operative follow-up:

You will be able to get up from the first day and you will no longer have dressings from the next day. A painless facial edema appears and 8 to 12 days will be necessary to be presentable. You will be able to resume normal activity about two weeks after your intervention.

The results:

A lifting brings a great freshness to the face. The results are clear and their duration is on average ten years.

What is the difference between a mini-lift and a cervico-facial lift?

The mini-lift primarily addresses the early sagging in the lower face, while the cervico-facial lift works deeper on the oval of the face, jowls, and neck.

How long do the effects of a facelift last?

The results of a facelift can last 8 to 12 years, depending on skin quality, lifestyle, and post-operative care (skincare, lifestyle).

Can multiple facial procedures be combined?

Yes, it is common to combine several procedures (lifting + eyelids, lifting + lipofilling, etc.) for a comprehensive and cohesive rejuvenation.
